Kuin syöpäläiset kerääntyneet laumaan valtavaan,
Kaikki yksilöinä, määrättöminä, yksin yhdessä.
Joukko ylettömyyden keskuudessa, kaiken kuluttavana
vain oman hetken mielijohteen tarpeen orjina.
Et ole mitään vain rotta muiden joukossa.
Et yhtään mitään kenellekään.
Luultuasi vapautuneesi kahleistasi
lukitsit itsesi himojesi orjuuteen.
On sisäinen silmäsi sokeutunut,
sielusi lukkiutunut, luontonsa unohtanut.
Saastan keskellä syöden, hekumoiden, peläten,
todellisuutesi kuin teuraskarjan, lampaan.
Ei lihasi vuoksi, vaan maallisen vaurauden.
Sitä riipien, velaksi eläen, tuomittuna alemmuuteen.
Et ole mitään vain rotta muiden joukossa.
Et yhtään mitään kenellekään.
Kylmä katse matelijan seuraa lasitornistansa
vankejaan avointen maiden, ovettomien sellien.
On maailman piilotettu herra, näkymätön alistaja,
valitun perimän salainen kantaja, maailman orjuuttaja.
Kannat kultasi, velkasi uhrilahjaksi,
unohtaen kunnian ja teot isien.
Päivästä päivään etsit tarkoitusta,
säälittävän elämäsi oikeutukseksi.
The atmosphere of this album is fantastic. Makes you feel like you're knee-deep in the trenches drenched in mud, filth, sweat, and blood. Truly encapsulates the horrors of World War I, and the fact that the lyrics of some of the songs are taken from old war letters really adds to the authenticity.

Enter The Necropolis is the band’s crowning achievement so far, and it’s an outstanding exemplar of the Finnish melodic black metal sound. The 2016 record is also excellent. Metallurgical Fire
Finnish death metallers leaven infernal dynamics with triumphant, infectious melodies, striking a compelling balance between grit and grace. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 25, 2023
The Finnish melancholic metal band thrillingly expands the sonic parameters of doom metal on their third full-length. Bandcamp New & Notable Dec 3, 2020
The first 30 seconds of "Revenge by Fire" convinced me to get the whole album! It is a face-melting blend of speed and black metal, reminiscent of Hellripper! KVAEN is a Swedish solo project much like Hellripper but many known guest musicians helped J. Björnfot in his endeavor. Altogether it is really a solid debut album, I loved the melodies and the pace changes in the second half too, ending with a "calm" instrumental one. Well-done!! sachavonkarl74
